Keep the uncertainty in view
Fuel Signal offers general information about possible fuel-price movements. It cannot promise a price, a saving or a timely alert. Check actual local prices and make your own decisions.
1. Your agreement with us
Fuel Signal is operated by David Ilievski (“we”, “us”). These terms apply to the Fuel Signal app and website. By using the service, you agree to these terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you do not agree, stop using the service. If you are below the age at which you can enter a binding agreement in your country, use the service only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal and device data. Your app store’s applicable terms also govern your download and use of the app.
2. What Fuel Signal provides
Fuel Signal combines oil-market indicators, shipping activity and source-backed, AI-assisted news analysis to present a qualitative outlook for the next few days. It may show recommendations such as buying soon or waiting, alongside supporting information and optional notifications.
The current service does not require an account or offer in-app purchases or paid subscriptions. We plan to introduce Google AdMob advertising in a future release to support the service. Ads and advertiser offers do not determine our fuel outlook or constitute our endorsement. Advertising data practices and choices are described in our Privacy Policy. Your internet provider may charge for data. Any future paid offering will disclose its price and separate payment terms before you choose to purchase.
3. Forecasts, prices and AI-assisted content
- General information: content is not personalized financial, investment, trading or professional advice. It does not account for your location, vehicle, fuel needs or finances.
- No promised outcome: market conditions can change quickly. Forecasts can be wrong. We do not guarantee savings, price direction or the timing of local pump-price changes.
- Different price measures: Brent and other oil benchmarks are not retail fuel prices. A displayed US national pump average may not reflect prices in your country or at your station. Taxes, exchange rates, transport, margins and local conditions affect what you pay.
- Source limitations: upstream data can be incomplete, delayed, disputed or unavailable. Cached content may remain visible during an outage. Check available timestamps, sources and uncertainty labels.
- AI-assisted news: automated research and writing can introduce mistakes or miss context. Published articles and incident assessments are not guaranteed to have been reviewed by a human. Source links help you check important claims.
- Notifications: alerts depend on permission, connectivity and third-party delivery services. They may arrive late or not at all. Open the app to check the current outlook.
Never postpone necessary refuelling in a way that risks running out of fuel or endangers anyone. Do not use the app while driving. Independently verify information before making a consequential decision.
4. Permission and responsible use
We give you a limited, non-exclusive permission to use Fuel Signal for lawful personal use, subject to these terms and any rights granted by applicable law. You retain all rights that the law does not allow us to restrict.
Do not attack or disrupt the service, bypass access controls, attempt unauthorized access to administrative tools or private data, distribute malware, impersonate us, or use automated requests that materially impair availability. Do not misrepresent our content as a guaranteed result or as your own original work.
5. Ownership and external services
The Fuel Signal name, original app design, code and original content belong to their respective rights holders. Third-party data, articles, software and trademarks remain subject to their own licenses and terms. Nothing here limits permissions expressly granted by an applicable open-source or open-data license.
Links to external sources are provided for context. We do not control those sites, guarantee their content or endorse everything they publish. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them.
6. Availability and ending use
We aim to keep Fuel Signal useful and available, but do not promise uninterrupted access, a particular update frequency or continued availability of any feature or data source. Maintenance, upstream outages and technical issues may affect the service.
We may modify or discontinue features or restrict access where reasonably necessary for security, abuse prevention or legal compliance. Where reasonably practicable, we will give notice of a material discontinuation. You can stop using the app at any time, turn off notifications and uninstall it. See the Privacy Policy’s deletion guidance for handling stored data.
7. Warranties, liability and your legal rights
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without promises of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted operation. You are responsible for evaluating the information and deciding when and where to buy fuel.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or expected savings resulting from reliance on a forecast, inaccurate third-party information, a missed notification or an interruption to the service.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, deliberate misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. These terms do not remove mandatory consumer protections, statutory warranties or your right to bring a claim in a court available to you under applicable law.
8. Changes, questions and disputes
We may update these terms as the service changes. We will publish the revised terms and update the effective date. Material changes will receive appropriate notice; where the law requires agreement, we will obtain it. Updates do not retrospectively remove rights you already have.
If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. Please contact us about concerns so we can try to resolve them. Doing so does not limit your right to use a regulator, dispute-resolution process or court.
